UMA Pictures is a Sweden based production company founded by filmmaker and producer Uta Arning. We develop and produce bold, character-driven stories that travel — across borders, languages, and generations.

Our work spans documentary, fiction, and children's film, with broadcast credits on SVT and UR, and a growing slate of international co-productions. Recent projects include Swedishkayt (SVT), Mischmasch (SVT), and A Doll Named Glick, which celebrated its world premiere at BUFF Malmö 2026.

We believe in fostering new talent, and our productions bring together established professionals and emerging voices from across the industry. We also take our responsibility seriously when it comes to how we produce — working actively to minimise our environmental footprint on every project.
